Is there life after Sensation? Party on!

The 15th Sensation edition will not be going on an international tour and can only be experienced in Amsterdam. According to organiser Duncan Stutterheim: “This is a landmark event that deserves an exclusive show.” This event expects to welcome more foreign visitors than ever from 75 countries. Many visitors don’t fly home the next day but stay to explore the famous Amsterdam nightlife scene.

From one anniversary celebration to another, Studio 80 is celebrating its 10th birthday with a 10-day party, including on 5 July 2015. The club of ID&T founder Duncan Stutterheim, located on the Rembrandtplein, was inaugurated in the summer of 2005 as a platform for upcoming house and techno DJs. Many now perform in much bigger venues but are still very fond of ‘the 80’. The 10-year anniversary will be celebrated with club nights, concerts, workshops and radio shows: see the website of Studio 80 for a complete programme.

Not ready to sleep? Then take the ferry to Pampus. This 120-year-old fortress island, part of the Amsterdam Defence Line, will be transformed into a party island this summer. On Sunday 5 July 2015, the island will host ‘Lost In A Moment’, a one-day festival organised by Berlin record label Innervisions. After a museum in Rio de Janeiro, a historic park in Naples and a castle in Barcelona, visitors can dance at Pampus to the tunes of house DJ Dixon, deephouse duo Âme and others. Enjoy fabulous music and an equally fantastic view of the IJmeer.

Ketchup in Club AIR

Club AIR was inaugurated in 2010, on the holy ground of legendary club iT. On numerous occasions, the largest disco in Amsterdam has been voted one of the best clubs in Europe and the best sound system in the world. The line-up is eclectic, with evenings such as Don’t Wait For The Weekend (disco and pop), Girls Love DJs (house and electro) and the Sunday evening Ketchup (hip hop and R&B). Club AIR accommodates 1,300 guests but the interior, created by designer Marcel Wanders, can easily be adjusted for smaller parties.
